Day 4 Porthleven to Lizard 14

It was a very windy day today with a few squally showers. We left Porthleven at 9.00 am and walked to Mullion Cove.

Mullion Cove

The cafe at Mullion Cove was open thankfully and offered us respite from the wind and a nice piece of cake and cup of hot chocolate to warm us up and set us on our way again.
The path down to Kynance Cove was hard to find and steep but it was a beautiful place and popular with tourists and surfers.

The cliffs between here and the Lizard are covered with Squill, a spring flowering low growing wildflower.
The weather was deteriorating as we approached Lizard so we left the photo shoot until the morning and retired to the pub, The Witchball, while waiting for the bus to Helston.
Our Mandeley B&B in Helston was easy to find not far from Tesco. We received a warm welcome from Birgit and shown to our immaculate room at the side of the house. Everything was pristine and hi- spec. Three cushions on each bed!
